Revere “…Beautifully unpredictable… This is where to head when the disappointment from the new Coldplay album sets in…” - MOJO Magazine “…One of the best bands you’ve never heard of…” - The Guardian Weekend “…Stuff this special and so uninterfered with doesn’t come along often…” - Manchester Music “…An understated smoker…” - Record Collector “…One of the most intriguing bands on the circuit...” - Glasswerk.co.uk It is increasingly difficult to categorize music by REVERE. Having expanded to an 8-piece, they are playing some of the most unapologetically majestic music around at the moment. Incorporating violin, cello, and trumpet into a three guitar-led sound, REVERE touch on numerous musical reference points, bringing elements of gypsy marches, klezmer, post rock, film scores and gospel into a truly unique sound. Live, REVERE play with an unparalleled intensity, working songs from music-box soft openings into relentless walls of sound against a backdrop of stirring visuals. REVERE have been rapidly building up a devoted fan-base, giving away close to 3000 free copies of their white label acoustic EP, “As The Radars Sleep”. It might also explain why they were placed at No. 8 in the Reader’s Playlist in MOJO Magazine’s August issue, conspicuously the only unsigned band in the whole magazine! This in turn resulted in REVERE being playlisted on two major US radio stations – KUSF and KRTU – receiving both debut US airplays in the same weekend! After starting off the year with a sell-out performance at London’s Barfly, REVERE launched the Chloroform EP, their debut release on their own Albino imprint, to a sell-out crowd at The Spitz, London, with a noticeable industry and press presence. They have followed this with regular heavily attended headline slots at London’s Marquee Club and recently opened for Haven (Virgin records) downstairs at London’s Garage. It appears that the wait has paid off and REVERE are now dropping their hands to show their faces to an expectant music scene.
